Here we go again! Putting together each year brings me such joy and I hope you find something beautiful here, too. Sometimes, it can seem as if no one reads anymore but making these lists reassures me that there are a lot of us out there, still trying to learn, still trying to create, still trying to connect. Unburden yourself from the disappointments of the past year by getting lost in these words and supporting indie lit. Reading is resistance! We’re still here. Like my sister and I used to say, I raise an imaginary glass to you now and clink, “Cheers to the weirdos!” I’m glad we’re here together. —Jesi
