HFR: Can you share a moment that has shaped you as a writer (or continues to)?
AB: Poetry nights at Paper Moon bookstore.
HFR: What are you reading?
AB: mid20s, by my good friend Eric Turner.

HFR: Can you tell us what prompted “WHAT IF THE INSTAGRAM WELLNESS GIRLIES ARE RIGHT”?
AB: Overall, being a woman on the internet and the rabbit holes you tumble down when you have a chronic illness prompted this poem. Specifically, I ended up on the carnivore diet side of the internet one day and saw a video of a woman taking a bite out of a stick of butter for a snack.
HFR: What’s next? What are you working on?
AB: I’m trying to convince everyone I know in Albany to make zines. I’m sporadically adding to my Painsomniac zine series, where every time I have a sleepless night from chronic pain I make a little mini-zine. I’m working on a long-term project involving diaries.
HFR: Take the floor. Be political. Be fanatical. Be anything. What do you want to share?
AB: Handwritten letters are deeply underrated.
