At the Drive-In Theater (Blue Velvet)

First you get the hunger,
then you get the fear. Frank pulling the car over,
Daddy again:

“you want a love letter from me,
do you know what a love letter is fuck,
straight from my heart,
a love letter is a bullet from a gun fuck,
you get a love letter from me and you’re fucked forever.”

Applying the makeup is a pleasure all its own,
and then to kiss the boy forcefully leaving your mark.
