whether or not she herself was literate is unknown,

whether or not she called her dog Junior or a fun Greek name
(so fun saying Greek names,
with no knowledge of their actual faces or lies.)

You’re so much a Lettie, he cuts off all his hair when you leave, you lady.
Keep us close as we indulge in your image
Keep us plump,

our dependence merely psychological,
so we won’t get our skins confused

charade-ing in the pop up store grasping till it’s handsy, tell it momma
one of us will take it on and leave a phone number and one of us will say
how are gloves made why is a woman driving nails like lightning
simplified by recently invented, ingenious machinery?

nothing that we take is casual
